Helping neurodivergent dog owners feel seen, safe, and supported — so they can achieve the success they deserve.
Are you a neurodivergent dog guardian?
Do traditional training approaches leave you feeling overwhelmed, frustrated or like you’re doing it all wrong?
You’re not alone and you don’t need to mask or push through anymore! You might read all the books, watch all the videos, join the classes but still find it hard to follow through, stay focused, or feel like you’re making real progress.
It’s not because you’re lazy or unmotivated — in fact, you probably care a lot.
But traditional training advice isn’t always built with neurodivergent minds in mind.
Living with a neurodivergent brain brings a unique set of experiences — and when you’re also trying to train or support a dog, especially one who doesn’t always follow the “typical” path, it can feel like a lot.
You might be thinking…
“Why does this feel harder for me than it seems to for others?”
“Am I doing it wrong?”
“I love my dog but I’m completely overwhelmed.”
You’re not alone. These are some of the common challenges neurodivergent dog guardians face — and every single one of them is valid.
You might be struggling with:
- Sensory overwhelm in training spaces, parks, or classes.
- Executive dysfunction — struggling to plan, start, or finish training.
- Feeling emotionally flooded when your dog doesn’t respond how you expected.
- The pressure to “mask” or appear like you have it all together when you’re not okay.
- Rejection sensitivity or fear of judgement from trainers, peers or other dog owners.
- Trouble with consistency, routines, or “standard” training schedules.
- Feeling confused or stuck because the usual advice just doesn’t work for your brain (or your dog)
And your dog might not be the “easy” type either — they might be:
- High energy, easily frustrated or overstimulated.
- Anxious, reactive, or sensitive to noise, movement or changes.
- Struggling with environments, other dogs, or seemingly “random” triggers.
- A brilliant little soul, but hard to train with in a way that feels manageable for you.
This is where I come in.
I work with you, not just your dog — offering pressure-free, supportive guidance that adapts to your needs, your energy, your routines (or lack of them), and your communication style. You don’t need to mask, over-explain, or push yourself past your limits. We start wherever you are, and move forward together.
When you work with me, you’ll find:
- A trainer who genuinely understands neurodivergence and is here to support you, not change you
- Calm, validating support — no shame, no judgement
- Flexible approaches that work with your brain, not against it
- Realistic, kind strategies that don’t rely on strict routines or endless energy
I offer support tailored for dog owners who want to enjoy training again, build structure and focus into their sessions, and get regular encouragement without pressure.
Whether you’re working on everyday manners, preparing for competition, or just wanting to feel a bit less stuck — there’s an option here for you.
All support options are flexible and commitment-free — there’s no tie-in, so you can stay for as long or as little as you need.
