Agility Coaching for Neurodivergent Handlers

Welcome! I’m Katrina Bayliss, an Agility Behaviour Specialist and Grade 7 agility handler with years of experience competing, coaching, and supporting handlers and dogs – especially those navigating anxiety, overwhelm, or the unique challenges that come with being neurodivergent.

Agility isn’t just about running fast or flawless handling; it’s about understanding the whole team – your mindset, your dog’s emotional needs, and creating training that works for how you think and feel.

I specialise in neuro-inclusive dog agility behaviour and mindset coaching, helping handlers and dogs work through the emotional, behavioural, and confidence-based challenges that shape performance in training and competition.

Most people come to me when they feel stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed – whether that’s because their dog’s sensitivity or stress is getting in the way, or because their own wiring, thinking style, or confidence is holding them back.

I work with many neurodivergent handlers (diagnosed or not), and create a space where your brain and your dog’s needs are understood, respected, and supported – without judgment, pressure, or unrealistic expectations.

If you’re training but feel like something’s missing, I’ve got options to support you without the pressure of committing to ongoing, high-level 1:1 training straight away.

Because agility isn’t just about handling skills, in fact, that’s often the smallest piece of the puzzle.

So many handlers focus on cues and lines, while the real challenges are happening underneath: anxiety, sensory overload, pressure, emotional dysregulation, and connection. That’s exactly where I can help.

What Makes My Agility Coaching Different?

  • Focused on Neurodivergent Handlers and Anxious Dogs
I specialise in working with handlers who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or frustrated by traditional training methods. Together, we build a sustainable, supportive path to agility success that fits your brain and supports your dog.
  • Mindset & Emotional Support
Beyond the skills and techniques, I help you develop confidence, resilience, and calm — in training, in the ring, and in yourself.
  • Grade 7 Handler and Agility Behaviour Specialist
As both a Grade 7 competitor and agility behaviour specialist, I bring practical, high-level experience and tailor plans to help you and your dog reach your goals — without burning out.
